Appaloosa

So I saw Appaloosa today and really liked it. It's not flashy like 3:10 to Yuma but a good story. Viggo managed to look delicious despite the very authenic (and thereby dorky) hair cut to go along with the famously farmed beard. Man, he really looked like he belonged in that era. I willingly admit that I became too focused on his very tight pants ( Read more... )

That's a great review in itself. I can't wait to see the tight pants; I keep hearing about them! :D

LOL, we got obsessed with the Hildalgo pants and these ones definitely top that!

Plus, there are so many yummy pics of him fussing with his clothes, putting clothes on, etc.

His haircut is adorkably cute. I had noticed the farmer's tan line in the stills but not the rest of it.

When you do finally see it, tell me what you think about the bar scene (you'll know which one). His expression in that one stays with me even now.

I think you will like it. It doesn't have that 'disney' tall story that Hildalgo did. This is a gritty story about men and women with flaws who struggle thru for good and bad.

I know a lot of people don't like Renee Z but I thought she was good in this (and I disliked her in Cold Mountain intensely).

I just loved the interaction with Ed and Viggo and I think you will too. Viggo's eyes are so beautiful in this, esp. with his tan and beard.

The more you write about it, the more I know I will just LOVE it. And I think exactly like you about Renee Z though I saw very few of her films. I want to give her a chance and what you say reassures me.
