I saw the most amazing re-used doorframe ever in an over priced, over fashioned, spend too much money cause you have it designer show room in Philly this last spring. They had made a room divider (for your overpriced loft) out of the giant steel frame of an outside wooden door and recycled wood to make a whole, movable (with a LOT of force, I'm sure) wall - full of nooks crannies and bookshelves.
While it was being sold in a manner I didn't appreciate, the use of the old to make something amazing and useful and new was breathtaking.
