I was completely ready to hate Barcelona based on how difficult it was to get there because all of the trains were full, but once I finally made it I really liked it.

Walking around the city at night is a lot of fun. I just took pics and bought beers from the street vendors and turned down prostitutes.

Gothic area is cool to walk around (narrow streets, laundry hanging out, etc). Also, they love some dude named Gauddi.

I found a cool vegetarian place called "The Unicorn Restaurant" or something. 11Euro lunch included soup, salad, entree, and dessert. Also there's a few "Maoz Vegetarian" places that are basically just like Amsterdam Falafel in DC but you can get beer as your drnk with your combo meal. They are a chain, and are in Amsterdam.

I'm sure you'll have a great time. The beach is supposed to be great, but I didn't make it there. I only had 2 days there after all my train problems. 4 days should be great, though!

i'm glad you are going to barcelona, as it is one of my absolute faves. tapas it up! oooh drink lots of estrella beer (it's everywhere) and maybe ditch your parents one nite to take in some nitelife, which gets going at like 2am. i ate two nites in a row at a great veggie restaurant that has been around since the 70s i think... i'm going to try and find the name for you. ~ df
