I ♥ zoos! (And I love the parrot pic!)

At the Minnesota Zoo last week, some 9 year old kid stuck their hand in a meerkat display and got bit. All of the meerkats had to be euthanized for fear of rabies, because the kid's parents didn't want to get the stupid kid shots. Turns out the meerkats never had rabies, anyways.

Ugh.
Sorry. This rant just felt semi-appropriate.
