[His writing isn't the atypical sloppy male chickenscratch, but it lacks any real grace. It's hesitant, but there's a subtle strength to every letter.]
I was told this is how people communicate. I suppose this is 'hi.'
This…place, this tree, it feels impossible. I almost feel like, I don't know, like I'm involved in some big practical joke.

Nah, you're not the only who feels that way, really. Some people just adjust better than others, I think. I agree with Handmaiden, just follow your instincts. Oh, and keep a close eye on these journals! We've gotten a few... odd entries. Can't really say much more than that, though.
Oh! I'm Laguna! If you want some help or a tour or something like that, I can totally help when I'm done in the Scavenger Yard.

Thank you, really. We should, I don't know, we should get together or something. Soon. If we're from the same place, maybe you can help me [Yet again, his writing stops suddenly.]
But you said the others wouldn't understand all of those words. What does that even mean? How are my memories stronger than theirs?

Yeah, yeah it does. I think I'm starting to adjust to the fact that this place is upside down crazy. Is that getting the hang of it?
