it's been a while
so i'm in tech writing right now, and i am not feeling productive or capable of work at all. let me rewind a little over a week ago. this is when hell began. things involving driving, schoolwork, and then will being gone. then monday sucked, and i went to practice which was ok, then went home. and theeeennn the news:
my grandma died. ~5:45 pm. we went to her house, and my family stayed there until 12:30ish. we went home for the night then went back in the morning before 8, and my cousins and i slept a bit then went to the islamic center in dc, which is next to all the cool embassies and stuff. we prayed, and that was when all the people started coming. it was so sad...then we went to the cemetery (fort lincoln), and buried her. i've seriously never seen so many sad people at once. and it's so sad when you see men cry, especially the kind of men who are never sad or emotional.
and back to the house. fasting is so hard this year, i have no idea why. this is my 10th year of fasting, and for some reason this one seems harder than the others. lots of people brought food with them when they came over at night, and then we went there on wednesday too.
but i had to come to school today. i haven't really done work past what was due on monday.
i'm screwed now, because there is so much to do this month, and i have no idea whether i can actually pull it off or not. the transcript request and my teacher rec stuff should have been due wednesday, but i wasn't here...so hopefully people will be nice to me and let me turn things in a little late.
anyway, i think i'm done for now. maybe i'll update on a more general scheme later.
