the philly area has GREAT trains/busses called SEPTA.
its what all the college kids use for haverford,brynmawr,penn,drexel,st.jos etcetc.
its not too bad at all :)

psssst. davidson is better. it's clean. and not too southern. but the weather is beautiful. (and it's a better school)
