Kian Kian 05: On Nana and on forgotten birthdays.

Dec 01, 2009 06:34

[She's currently holed up in a random room that wasn't the master bedroom, flopped out on the bed and staring up at the ceiling. The phone by the bed was knocked off the hook so everything she said could be heard clearly by anyone who might be listening.]

Ne Nana....

[There's a pause as she shifts onto her side, the only sound is the rustling of the sheets.]

Do you remember back when we first met? Two girls with the same name on the same train. We joked that it was destiny but I believed that it was true. There had to be some sort of special reason you fell into my life. When you walked away that time I was sure that I was just being silly, that surely it couldn't be fate. Then I walked into that apartment and there you were.

You've become my best friend, the person I rely on and want to be with more than anyone. It was fate and so I clung to you, trusting you to take care of things because you seemed to be so much bigger than me.

I had thought my life had been mapped out for me, everything in it's place. Then, it's not been so long ago has it? I woke up here. It's strange really Nana. This home is just like the one I've always dreamed of and my clothes are to the way I've always tried to dress.

It doesn't mean anything without you here with me, I've even begun to miss the way you'd call me by that nickname!

[There's another sigh as she rolls over onto her other side, staring at the wall.]

My birthday has passed, I'd forgotten. Another year older... huh?

[Then there's silence as she's rather obviously done talking. Feel free to stop by if you're a housemate or just pester her her over the fun if you're not.

demon lord taketh away, or is it merely an illusion
