It can be rather troubling though. How should I deal with a husband like this?

Well...I am not sure my methods of "dealing" with him would be the methods you would wish to use.

In such a situation I would recommend ignoring him if you can.

However if he ever raises a hand against you please tell me...and I will remedy the situation in my own way.
