Personality:
Early Nana Komatsu can be summed up in two concepts if you don't look too hard: cute clothes and cute guys. Really for a while that seems to be most of what she cares about when you first meet Hachi. She's shown as being immature, spoiled, and just about everything you'd expect the middle daughter of a middle class family to be basically.
To compound on her flaws Hachi is self centered, spoiled, naive, and stubborn. She clings to her ideals of how the world should be and not how the world really is. She's forever re-weaving stories into how she thinks life should go in the future. They almost never happen the way she plans of course but thankfully she never lets this failure get her down.
On the other hand she's surprisingly caring with her friends and even complete strangers. She's loyal, faithful, and has been known to do just about anything for her loved ones. It's how Nana Osaki first decided to call her Hachiko as it's the name of a rather famous dog in Japan. It's a symbol of just how deep Hachi Nana's loyalties and feelings lie for the people she feels are her family.
Hidden deep down there's a shrewd side to Nana Komatsu that's typically buried underneath all the other trappings that make up her daily life. If you look closely you'll see that in times of trouble she can make hard decisions that might not make sense but ultimately it shows that some pretty deep thinking was done on her part.
Hachi's someone who craves attention and likes to be spoiled and she's done some pretty stupid things over her lifetime because of it. She tends to throw herself headlong into love with a reckless abandonment that's truly startling and believes that only by finding new love can one forget the old love. This sets her up for quite a bit of heartbreak as you could imagine but ultimately it's for the best as these experiences will help shape how she is as a person.
Abilities: Nothing overly special. She's got a knack for cooking and being a somewhat of a homemaker type though

[Never one to just wake up into a new situation, Nana Komatsu walks through a doorway expecting to find her family's kitchen and instead finds herself on an unfamiliar street corner wearing clothes that were rather unfamiliar. They were cute though so that part didn't really phase her too much as it actually looked like some of the clothes from her own closet. Appearing somewhere unfamiliar however was a big deal and she was soon in a panic.]
Mama? Papa? Nana? Nao? Naaaami?! This isn't funny! Someone, anyone. Please?
[She's darting around the street now, skirts flying as she looks for anything that's familiar. This doesn't look anything like her hometown. Come to think of it this doesn't even look like Japan at all!]
What's going on? [Her voice has taken a slight whine as she settles to her knees in a rather dramatic collapse.] Someone please tell me I'm still sleeping! This has to be a dream. That's it! I'm dreaming. [There's the sound of weak laughter as she stands up again.] Well if it's a dream no need to panic. Let's go exploring! Nana's got to be here somewhere.... I hope. I don't want to be alone...
