but before i start in on the entree of epic proportions i would like to mention that while being without access to a computer for five days is not exactly wonderful, coming back to read so many (much) lovelyness makes up for it.

i will now try to recount to the best of my ability my trip to sunny but not so funny without my honey Florida.

...ill start with thursday night...
after working all day and school at night i came home to run around packing, pressing, and panicking. finally made it to bed for a restful four hours of sleep.

FRIDAY
up at 3:30 so that we could be out the door 8 people 8 bags by 4:30. rachel has scissors in her carry on bag (i imaged sirens, flashing lights, and armed guards rushing out from trick walls to surround us throwing my poor little sister to the floor and asking us why we wanted to kill Americans...but none of that happened the lady threw the scissors away and that was that (so much less exciting.)) we flew into the Tampa airport at 10 or so (as i stepped off the plane and we headed to baggage claim i was reminded of another trip another time when i was greeted by my lovely little lady and the good friend of her now man on the side (sniffle)) and the circus began. stuffing our luggage and ourselves in a 7 passengers minivan we bumped off down the road to Orlando. one cramped hour and a half later we arrived on Disney property (my heart giving a little lurch as we passed john young parkway) and then to the "contemporary" resort. i use quotes there cause it is quite obvious that the "contemporary" was built in the 80's what with its a-frame shape and outlandish bright and garish decor. we traipsed up to our room and after a quick nap and unpack we headed back out to the car to drive for another hour and a half to my mothers brothers house (also know as my uncles house) i spent a boring and uncomfortable night explaining yet again where i work and that "yes im still in school" and "no i wont be done soon". drive back and crash into bed trying to wad the ridicules excuse for a pillow they give you in hotels into a usable head support.

SATURDAY
we awoke at around 9 or so and stumbled around bumping into each other for a bit before calling the parents (they had left for breakfast for the show at 8:30) to find out what we were to do. "free lunch" my mom explained. fluff and puff and off we went down to see the booth and eat some free grub. we basically sneak into the show (for those of you who think of little men in tights running around a stage when i say show come and talk to me and ill explain) and then have the JOY of being introduced to business people (the usual about how many there are of us and how we are too good looking to be dads and all the cliché jokes pass hands) i quickly realize there is nothing but hot dogs and meat filled samiches to be eaten so i resign myself to my diet coke and suggest we go. first we create a spectacle by tramping around the booths, open mouthed stares following us as the horde that is my family pass buy. quick as we can we get out of there and i eat my salt and vinegar chips up in the room. then we catch the bus to downtown Disney. we walke all the way through passing the Ghirardelli chocolate place (DID YOU KNOW THEY GIVE AWAY FREE CHOCOLATE????) ended up at Haaggen-Dazs eating the most amazing caramely banana thingy as fast as my large mouth could chew and swallow. then we watched Confessions of a teenage drama queen. quite fun. back to the hotel and then downstairs for more FF (free food) the main course was all right but there was this peach cobbler that made me wet my pants. we ended the night by watching the magic kingdom fire works display. it really is a magical world.

SUNDAY.
awoke to the most horrendous screeching noise ever. "its kids screaming out in the hall" sarah is trying to tell me..in my head "no no i know its coming from outside"...now most of you know that i dont like birds...but not many of you know HOW MUCH I DONT LIKE BIRDS...i stumble out of bed and over to the window and as i pull back the curtains what could be staring me in the face but a BIG FAT seagull i fumble with the door (in my half asleep state i didnt realize there was a lock on top of the door as well as at the handle) all the while banging on the door cursing all birds in general....suddenly they all just fly away (i found out later that the people above us where feeding them and that when i went over to the door my dad leaned his head out the window of there room right next to us at the same time and told them that there were people trying to sleep)after that early morning excitement we headed out to the "premium" outlets that we had seen on our way into Disney to do some shopping and some more eating...bought shoes (im obsessed with shoes, im thinking about joining a support group) buy mid-afternoon we where ready for some rest and relaxation so we went back to the hotel and lounged by the heated pool...marvy...that night at the FF they had a wonderful three piece jazz band (i needed someone to dance with) and the most amazing selection of cheeses, sadly no dessert, that was remedied later however. we went up to my dads bosses suite to watch the fireworks and then down one of the hotel restaurants to have CHEESECAKE...another yummy end to the day.

MONDAY
EPCOT here we come!! we spent the day at epcot quite a nice park i must say, saw strange vegetables, almost freaked out in the mission space ride (tend to be a bit claustrophobic and when i got in the seat pulled down the harness thing and then the instrument panel swung down towards me and then door next to me closed i was hard pressed to talk myself out of a ridicules freak out session) ate a very nice veggie wrap, walked till my legs fell off, and ate my way through 9 countries (coffee in morocco, Belgian waffles, the freshest funnel cake ive ever had, Italian ice cream......)
..all day long i was imagining what it would be like to have MY JENN there..i missed you so...

TUESDAY
up and at’um early for FB (free breakfast)then pack and shower...it started raining (appropriate for our last day) we went to the shops in the hotel to buy our souvenirs and then went to go see the graves of my great grandparents on my fathers side. rained all the rest of the day, ended up spending 4 hours at the airport (that airport is cursed i tell you) in a saga i dont really feel like recounting...and then back to cold wet rainy dallas...

...soooo that was my trip and only those who truly love me would care to read all that flibity gibity...

can someone please count how many times i mentioned food in that??

i missed you..both of you...

im now on a three day juice fast (its supposed to clear you out:-) and its back to life as normal...

COMING SOON

...a tribute to the beautiful lovely JENTASTIC.
