[The door is opened without hesitation. Itachi is already aware of who's on the other side.

That doesn't mean he knows the reason for the visitation, and he tilts his head in a curious manner.]

Good evening, Law. Is there something I can do for you?

[yourhatred]

...I see.

[The frown is slight, but it's there. Is he concerned? Possibly.]

Is there anything you want me to do for you while you're away?

[yourhatred]

I will do that.

[A pause as he watches the other man, then:] Why don't you come in? I will make you some tea.

[yourhatred]

Do you have a preference? If not, I'll just double what I'm making for myself.

[He takes a box down from a cabinet, placing it on the table. It contains a variety of tea packets.

That's also an invitation for Law to sit.]

[There will be no caffeine in his drink.

But there will be a hint of mint.

He pours cups for each of them, joining him at the table once he's finished.]

I don't suppose you know why you've been chosen? Is it the same vague reasoning as always, or have you been legitimately requested for your medical services?

Part of me wishes I had been assigned on the same missions, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. I believe we would work well together.

[He takes a casual sip of tea.]

[yourhatred]

[There were ways Itachi could accomplish that in a more literal sense, but he's not sure if he's capable of them given his current limitations.]

I will keep you in my thoughts and hope for the best.

[He doesn't actually shrug, but he might as well have.]
