Okay, time to do some story sharing with my LJ friends.
Has anyone had a near-death experience? What happened?
Did it go slow motion with sound faded out like in the movies?
Did your life flash before your eyes? Was it rapid fire thoughts or slow scenes?
Did you pee yourself?
Uhhh...scratch that last question

Let's see...
I guess I can't really say I have...
I fell off my horse once and got my foot caught in the stirrup and hit my head on the ground and got knocked out while still attached to the saddle. The force almost broke my neck.
Oh yeah, slow motion. REALLY SLOW. I can pretty much see everything that happened. I recall "HOLY CRAP WHY DID I DECIDE TO RIDE A 1500 LB 7-FOOT TALL ANIMAL?!" flashing through my head.
And then a scare, the kid who brandished the firearm at me earlier this year. My mind zoned in on it, and I truly used "watch hands".
Life flash before my eyes? Yeah. Fast.
Pee? Um... no... I just knew what I had to do to survive and did it.
However I probably should have went TOWARDS the police station a block away, not the opposite direction...

I don't know if it would qualify as a near-death experience, but it mimicked one. I was crawling on the bathroom floor trying to get to the toilet so I could puke. And then darkness closed in around me. You know how it is at the end of old cartoons? The black on the outside of the screen comes into a circle in the middle, and closes in until all you have is darkness...
Just. Like. That.
And I had to ask my mom where the toilet went because I couldn't find it.
It probably would have felt a lot less like a near-death experience if my mom'd had enough sense between her ears to call medical personnel instead of screaming out to God to save her baby.
No scars remain... Not even the heart-shaped one I started out with from that accident.

Glad to see you're still around, sis!
Do you AIM or anything like that these days?

Nah, no AIM or anything of that sort much any more. Trying to stay off the internet addiction, though I may still get sucked back in yet. Hehe...
