We have a horse!

We gave ourselves a pony for Yule. Well, not truly a pony, but a western horse so I call him a pony.

Ohhh! Handsome boy! He looks like a nice, sturdy "pony" and I've always liked paints. I love the nice, wide chest on him, lots of room for a big heart and set of lungs. Nice, thick cannon bones and a lovely head. He looks like the perfect horse for nice, long trail rides. I hope that you have a lot of good rides together. As for the affection, I bet he will warm up to you more as he gets to know you. Congrats!

The picture was posted on our trainer's website and she took it down since we paid for him.

He's a medium bay with paint markings, black mane and tail and a big white blaze that touches his left eye a little. He also has some damage to that eye--an old injury, but he seems to see okay. I have a new picture of him I'll have to upload to photobucket.

He's a real cutie--he honestly looks like a mini-Clydesdale, roman nose and all. And he has big feet. He's unlearning a lot of bad habits and getting gentler and easier to ride all the time.
