So I never went riding

because I woke up in the morning with a migraine that even Maxalt wouldn't touch. I know it was just nerves. I felt really bad about it, but Robin said she understood and we hope for this weekend although this weekend it will probably rain ( Read more... )

Poor Mommma, I'm glad the meds work for the weather related migraine at least. I hope you do get to go riding this weekend. Nothing to be nervious about, After all you're just going out to meet a new four footed friend who needs the kind of love that you can provide.

If you only allow yourself to look at it from this type of stand point instead of dwelling on what could go awry it should help. I hope

How are you doing? Did you get rid of your migraine after your short break?

This weekend it is supposed to rain, so I doubt that I'll get to go riding...footing in the arena will be too questionable. But that's okay, there's time in the future.

I'm even thinking about looking at ponies instead of full grown horses. By "pony" I mean a tall one. Closer to the ground and easier for me to get my legs on and my arms in the right position. And they don't mind you being fat so much. I mean eventually.

I don't worry too much about Joy as she is very well loved. That's part of Robin wanting to half lease her: She can't spend as much time with her as she would like and as an older horse, Joy needs steady exercise. If I could even just get out there and walk her (and Mr. Hustle) it would be good.

Yes, my migraine has finally subsidded. Now that we have several inches of snow on the ground and very nasty cold. (it was 16 last night with a wind chill that brought it down to 1.) The old phrase "right as rain" has new meanings for me; I suffer like hell before the storms get here, but the moment they arrive I'm perfectly fine.

I know Joy is loved by her owner; but as you said she needs more than her owner can currently give her, therefore she needs someone like you...right?

I think you're right, just managing to take her and hustle for walks would be a boon for all of you. I hope you manage to do so often.

Me, I'm not only doing crisis counceling via the phone for my nation, but I've been doing a lot of baby sitting lately. I'm using muscles that have almost forgotten how to work like that.

At a bit over 20lbs, tossing him around, and chasing him in his walker gets to be a real workout.

Hugs dear lady

Awww... that's a bummer. I do hope that you feel better. I got migranes a few times back in the 8th grade, when my Pituitary tumor was growing, probably, either that or there was something in the Chemistry classroom that triggered them, because that's where I always was when they started. They were miserable. I'd get flashes of pastel colored lights, and start to feel nauseated. I learned I had just enough time to call my mom to come get me and get home before I started thowing up and the spike hammered into my head. After I finished being sick, I'd usually pass out on the couch and sleep for 8 or so hours, then wake up and be fine. They were very strange ( ... )
