We have a BIG problem. I thought I could deal with the smoking and the drinking but I can't. Every time we get in a fight it's the first thing I think of and it pisses me off even more. It's going to be even worse when I move out there if we don't fix this. I refuse to just put up with it to avoid conflict with you.

you're right. all that drinking and smoking and what not causes is problems. you're doing the right thing by trying to help, it shows you care. to be passive would be wrong. hopefully he cares enough about you and [mainly] himself to take care of the problem also. good luck hun!
