About ninety-nine percent of The Lolita's backstory is left up to the reader's imagination. There are extremely vague hints through the story, but it's so vague it's barely worth it. So, I thought I'd just make it clear what my theory is of what - and who - The Lolita is.
To put it simply; I think everything that she claimed happened to her while stealing Remina's identity actually did happen to her, but while she was still alive. I believe that she was a young girl who was abused physically, emotionally, mentally and sexually by her Big Brother, who had a lolita complex. Eventually, he snapped, and, like she claimed Remina's Brother did, beat the parents to death with a hammer before taking her eye out. The only different, The Lolita died, only to return as a vengeful spirit searching for the ideal Brother to make her happy. This would explain several things in canon, such as her reasoning for acting traumatized at the mental hospital, her vomiting of liquid trash (she claimed that Ramina was forced to eat trash), the significance of her slightly disgusted expression when she finds the lolita porn in Kazuki's room, why at times she seems to have more of a sexual obsession with Kazuki than a strictly family one, etc.
So, to wrap up; The Lolita's a spirit who was abused by her Brother until he went nuts, took out her eye and killed her. The Lolita can back as a vengeful spirit looking for the perfect Brother, by stealing the identities of their real little sisters.
Personality: Everyone has heard urban legends; the typical frightful villain who mass murders without a care in the world. The Lolita - a nameless young woman, who is often considered by fans of the Ibitsu canon to be the very embodiment of fear.
While, at first, The Lolita presents herself as a quiet, ladylike - although somewhat off-putting, due to her lack of social grace in asking personal questions - woman. She may even appear to be extremely delicate, although that’s due more to appearance than her actual persona. The Lolita also acts rather childish, even at first meeting. There’s almost never a moment when she’s not clinging to her half destroyed rabbit doll named Keiichi. Her child-like behavior extends to the point where she’ll become infuriated should Keiichi become dirty, because, in her words, ‘Keiichi isn’t meant to get dirty. Keiichi is special.’ The Lolita seems to see nothing wrong with the motherly level of care she displays to Keiichi, in fact, she sees it as a normal thing to do. There is even a scenario where she places her doll on a bench and orders him to keep watching, appearing to have complete faith in the inanimate object.
Her childish nature extends even into her homicidal fits of rage. Numerous times, she compares the murdering of her victims to a game of tag, often laughing and calling out to the terrified person “I’m it! I’m it!”, before chasing them down to finish them off. The Lolita - during her homicidal rages - is a definite mixture of sadism and almost frighteningly innocent childishness. In one situation, she shatters a young girl’s foot with a sledgehammer, only to spin around and inform her that they were going to play hide and seek, forcing the girl to hobble away in a futile attempt to save herself. The Lolita also uses the suffix ‘-chan’ during her fits, an extremely casual way of addressing someone, yet she seems to use it in mocking.
The Lolita is a naturally curious creature in both her homicidal rages and during her slightly more ‘sane’ persona. Possibly due to dying at a young age and being bound to the Kyoto-Tokyo area of Japan, therefore never being able to see the world or really interact with people - aside from taking new Brothers. She is often seen staring at people, places and things before she acts, possibly trying to figure them out. Such as when she requires a key to enter Kazuki’s home, she observes how other people acquire keys, and soon applies the knowledge.
Should our darling Lolita select you to be her new Big Brother, she becomes both very clingy and helpful. She has no qualms with breaking into your home to clean it from top to bottom and make you meals - it’s all for love. The Lolita will do anything for the love of a sibling - blood related or adopted, The Lolita craves affection and acceptance. She says she wishes to be the ideal Little Sister, and will do anything her Big Brother wants; including severely injure her.
While The Lolita doesn’t show an especially masochistic streak, there’s a clear underlining desire for pain. Although, this may be - and, in my opinion, is - brought on by the constant abuse from her original Brother, who trained her to believe that being beaten meant you were loved. This naive side of The Lolita only appears to her Big Brothers - although, even then, it only extends to a certain limit before she realizes that something is seriously wrong.
The most notable trait of The Lolita is her hysteria. If she’s reminded too much of her original Brother, than she begins screaming and clawing at herself, begging not to be disciplined anymore. Her bought of hysteria can lead her to vomiting a strange black substance and serious self harm. She labels her hysteria as ‘doing crazy things’, which only occurs ‘when Big Brother’s being mean to me’. The Lolita seems to go into hysterics during great moments of stress or tension, such as when Kazuki changed the locks and when Hikari was talking about her memories with her Big Brother.
While all those major personality traits may make The Lolita seem like a complete monster, it’s her upbringing and motivations that have shaped her. Her undying desire to be loved unconditionally by a Big Brother who will make up for the torture the original inflicted on her, is what drives The Lolita to continue to hunt down the ideal Brother, no matter how much pain she goes through - or how much pain she causes - in her search.
Powers & Abilities: She can offer pure, unadulterated insanity?
* Illusions; The Lolita seems to be able to create illusions to scare the ever loving crap out of her targets. For example, when Kazuki enters the mental hospital, he sees dozens of arms reaching out towards him, all of them belonging to The Lolita. She even seems to be able to go as far as to make a complete copy of herself - although, whether or not this copy has any real physical presence is not shown, so, to even the playing field, lets say it doesn’t.
* Resistance Against Pain; The Lolita has torn out her stitches, ripped into her skull - all of which without pausing once. While there’s evidence she can still feel pain, she doesn’t seem to let it affect her actions. For example, when she gets kicked by Kazuki into a bookshelf, she is able to get back up in a split second, despite her stitches having come loose, causing heavy blood loss.
* Impossible Strength; The Lolita’s, what? Five foot nothing and looks to be about ninety pounds? Yeah, well, despite being nothing but skin and bones, she’s able to lift and wield a sledgehammer with surprising efficiency. Hell, she’s even able to spin around while carrying it. Also, The Lolita is shown to be strong enough to be able to force her fingers into a person’s jugular. As in, literally into it.
* Unwavering Loyalty; Having The Lolita choose you as her new Big Brother is a double edged sword - should you not meet her expectations, she’ll drive you to murderous insanity - but, if you play your cards right, you’ll have a girl who’ll do anything you say and even protect you with her life. She’ll cook, she’ll clean, she’ll sledgehammer your enemies - she’s basically a super Little Sister.
What items will they be bringing with them? The Lolita doesn’t have any trademark weapons; she’s seen using a large variety, from a sledgehammer to knives and even poisons. So, instead, I’d like to request her broken umbrella and her mangled rabbit plushie, Keiichi.
Third-Person Sample: The Lolita. That’s all she was. The Lolita. It wasn’t as if the name especially offended her, it suited, after all, what with her dress and lipstick, but, it was at times like that - like when she was alone with Keiichi, sitting on the ground and awaiting a new Big Brother to whisk them away to a fairytale land where they’d be happy together - that she felt as if she wanted a real name. She’d stolen Remina’s, yes, but those days were over. She wasn’t playing Remina, anymore. Now she was... The Lolita. Just... The Lolita.
She wondered, for a brief moment; would Big Brother be kind enough to give her a name? No - more like, was it selfish of her to wish to be named? Surely her new Big Brother was wonderful, so much better than she - the useless, filthy Little Sister - deserved and, so, if Big Brother didn’t want to give her a name, of course, she’d be satisfied with that. She would be satisfied with whatever her darling Big Brother did. He could beat her, starve her, do as he wished with her - after all; that was just memory making.
Each scar, each injury that would ache when it got too cold, was a memory. A beautiful, treasured memory she shared with her Big Brothers. The original, had taken her right eye. At first - as ashamed of it as she was - The Lolita wanted that eye back, but, soon she learnt that having her eye taken was a sign of everlasting love. Her second Big Brother... Well, he hadn’t caused the wound, she’d done it on his behalf, but it was the way he held her while she bled that made it his very own memory. The large, painful cut that lined her forearm. Yes, that was her second Big Brother’s mark. All held together with stitches that wouldn’t quite heal it - she didn’t want it to fade, that would be like forgetting her second Brother.
She giggled - an oddly melodic sound, considering the one it came from - and clutched Keiichi just that bit tighter. Sweet, soft Keiichi would never leave her. Even after each of her Brother’s left her - abandoned her like an unwanted mutt - Keiichi had stayed, had been there. And she would be there for Keiichi.
Her giggle escalated into cackling, as she tossed her head back, fringe slipping, revealing her single crimson eye that sparkled with hidden intentions as she laughed into the inky night sky. Because, she’d always be there for Keiichi.
Or, at least until she made a new friend.
First-Person Sample: Keiichi... I’m hungry...
[There’s a pause - a rather long one at that, too.]
...But trash is suitable for a Little Sister who is trash... Isn’t that right, Keiichi? And I’m such a horrible, dirty Little Sister who doesn’t deserve a wonderful Brother, right?
[She pauses again, props the mangled rabbit plushie up and gets to her feet.]
Keep watch, Keiichi. I can hear someone... Maybe they’ll be my new Big Brother.
[A rather frightening smile worms it’s way onto The Lolita’s face as she begins to wander barefoot through the wreckage.]
Kagome~ Kagome~ The bird trapped in the cage~ If Big Brother has another, we can play a game of tag. I'm it~!
