I'm still at work, while most have gone home. I'm on the switchboard you see, so if there are any calls coming in (which there aren't in the least) I have to answer them. I guess the upside is that Fiona brought me a glass of wine before she left, so I'm sipping on that and waiting for time to pass

The world is becoming an awful place. I always have a feeling that it all started here where I live and that we were swallowing berries, while people today are unfortunately swallowing watermelons.

And unfortunately, since the world is so huge, we live our regular lives while someone else is losing everything. Once you've been on the other side, you can feel how painful it is when no one is looking at what's happening to you...

...however, I don't wish to anyone to reach that point...EVER.

Rita is all that's on the news here. Hurricanes move slowly though, so news reports all yesterday were saying, "RITA IS HEADING TOWARD THE TEXAS COAST" every 15 minutes.

My country is so fucked up. Did you read about how our FEMA director wasn't qualified and whatnot? Fucker.

Hurricanes keep hitting the South and the keep voting Republican. Wankers.
