yes. There are a lot of guys working construction who are under 18. It's a lucrative field right now. Are you looking for summer employment?

not really. The Saluda Dam in SC is finished, and I've moved to Florida to build a new dam. I can hook you up with a few contacts if you're willing to move, but I don't have any pull in your area anymore. I recommend just walking onto a site and talking to the foreman. Most crews are shorthanded and usually hook you right up. Lousy pay for residential building (framing, roofing, etc) but if you find a commercial builder, $13/hr is not unheard of. There's always a lot of work going on at the university.
