Music has been pretty stupid this year.  Nothing has really caught my ear thus far.  Fortunately, Ladyfinger and the Hold Steady are here to save an entire year of poor releases.  Both are good and deserve your attention.

Yesterday, Sarah bought me chips because she knew we had stuff at home for nachos and no chips.  I didn't even ask her to do it...she just did!  Today, she got me some free Lyle Lovett tickets.  What a nice girl!

Every once in a while the news will have a story about a dog or cat that will dial 9-1-1 when the owner is in trouble.  I guess that's fine, but it also shows that they can only remember a very limited amount of numbers.  I mean, you never hear about a cat ordering pizza for a starving man.
