Wildwood was a blast!

I was soo excited all day - I kept turning to Jennifer while we were reading The Glass Menagerie and giving her an update on how many more minutes there were until I left. I left at about 10:45 and found Lauren and Jess at their lockers and we went down to the commons... then we left. The ride down there was fun, of course. We stopped at Wawa and we decorated Ashley's seat with caution tape before we picked her up. We listened to lots of music of course, and got pumped for that night =) We had an alright show on Thursday, but it was a lot of fun. We were all really nervous before they put up scores even though we basically knew we had to really suck to not make it to semifinals. When the lady came and put up the scores were all flipping out - we were sooo happy. It was awesome to make it to the next day for the first time EVER!! We scored an 85.8, which was two-ish points lower from Chapters, but it was Wildwood - the judges are new and score differently than local shows. We helped Owen J put out their floor because their floorcrew wasn't there on time, so that was cool. We were much better than the time we helped Norristown, haha... we can handle one next year. They did really well and ended up coming in first in their group. Kutztown was in their group and they did Thriller - Lisa sat there with her mouth open or singing the whole time, haha. It was ... alright. They could've done sooo much more with that awesome music and it was kind of a disappointment. I'm sure they work hard and everything, the work was just boring. We didn't stay for the third group, instead we went to the convention center and watched Independent A guards finish up (Mark has a tattoo!) When they were done, me and Gill went and stood on the floor to see what we'd be seeing the next day [!!!] It was very fun, haha, we air-performed the whole show, it was amazering ;-D Then we went back to the hotel and we had a PARTY! It was tons of fun. We gave Ashley, Danielle, and Mrs B their scrapbooks along with everyone else's flowers - Operation Pepsi Can was a success ;-D Then the eight of us [minus Kourtney, so seven] all slept in the same room... the one that had heat, lol. We had a blast and a half because we're awesome.

We got up around 8 to all get showered and such before 9:30, when we had to be outside to practice! I was so excited, lol. Practice in the parking lot went well and Ashley got stalked by the hot Bensalem boy from last year. We went over rifle the whole time and then did sabre before we went back to get changed. We went on at 12:34 (1-2-3-4!) which was hella cool. I was so pumped, and everyone else was nervous, lol. I was so excited I just started chucking my rifle... I freaking NAILED my solo with a four, but I didn't want to risk it on the floor, so I said I'd do it tomorrow =( Along with our "brush your shoulder on" move on rifle. We got out there and me and Jess were freaking flipping out behind the backdrops haha, and then me and Kourtney getting pumped for sabre. I had an awesome show, it was amaaaazzzzinggg to be in the convention center, I loved it. Unfortunately, the show wasn't good... at all, lol. We were all really bummed, some more than others, but hey, anything could've happened, someone else might've sucked. So we went back in to watch and watched the other people. We saw Lower Dauphin, who seemed like they had an offnight on Friday, but we knew they'd make it. I didn't think they deserved second or whatever ranking they got that night - sooo not over a 90 performance. I really liked Avonworth's music and CAMPFIRE! and I loved Gateway's show this year. Haha, and of course Milton Hershey's *chocolate sigh* ... We ended up coming in eleventh and that kind of killed us... We got over it, though - we didn't want to let anyone else see how upset we were, lol. It was still amazing to perform in the convention center =)
Friday night was our dinner with OJR - it was actually really fun. We were all kinda segregated during the actual dinner part, but then Steph and Sorrel [?] - her real name's Amanda, lol - came over and started talking to us. Then Tara and Lia came, too. Our table was the place to be ;-D It was fun, they're really cool. We played Thriller and Barbara Manatee for them and they showed us their Frank Sinatra dance which is really their dance clinic song, lol, and they danced to Lindsay Lohan, too. We all dressed up in our dresses, except it was freezing, so most of us had jeans and stuff underneath and a sweatshirt on top, haha, we looked way hot. That night we went to see the Open and World guards and it was awesome. Elizabeth Forward's show was so cute, we put a heart next to their name, haha. It looked like so much fun. Bensalem had a good run that night I think - I love this year's show... they held their own in open this year. AB Wood's show's awesome, but Elizabeth Forward beat them that night, and we were fine with that, haha. Then WORLD GUARDS! Yay! Light Brigade was AMAZING as always - they changed a lot since the last time we saw them and it was awesome. Justinnnnn! haha Lia's trying out for that next year - it'd be cool if she made it. She's a beast at rifle, we saw her whippin' out sixes and sevens while they were warming up, lol. I taped Light Brigades show and it used like all my memory haha I needed to delete a lot of random pictures to make room for more. Apex did awesome too - and Blackwatch was good but the energy just isn't there for the crowd. It's like Blackwatch *golf clap*, Light Brigade *YAYYYY! yelling screaming etc*, Apex *aww look how trendy* haha, I love Apex. I think they're the most approachable, because so many of them work with other guards. Although we're so tight with Light Brigade now that Gill sat with Maurice and Lauren and Christine stalked Justin, haha.

Saturday we shopped a lot. I bought a sexy sweatshirt and sweatpants and they were awesome. I fell asleep through a lot of the novice drumlines, lol, and some of the dance teams - we didn't sleep a lot the night before. So Ash went back to take a nap because she hates drumlines and got a headache, and everyone else went on rides. I didn't want to go on rides because I didn't feel good and because it was freezing, so I bought my stuff and we went back to watch the dance teams. Umm... then some other stuff... then we went to the DooWop Diner, holllerrrr! Tons of fun there. Then we went back to watch Novice and A finals. Independents were alright, some of them were way out of the others leagues. Then it was scholastic. Abington was first and me and Jess just started bawling. That was our spot - we should've been there. It was way too much to take. The place was freaking FULL and everytime someone caught something all you could hear was everyone cheer - imagine how loud it would've been for us. They were the only ones that I got upset during, because we had them ALL SEASON - they were never even a threat. One bad show and they have our spot. They ended up coming in tenth with an alright score, but I so would've traded anything to be able to have performed on Saturday night. Some people *not mentioning any names ;-D* realized that it's way trendy to cry when Abington is on and practically made themselves cry, haha, so that made me feel a little better ;-D Everyone else was good and deserved to be there. We helped Owen J put their floor out again and we were quick as anything, haha, we rock. Before they went on while we were back there me and Gill were making up routines to the people that were performing haha it was amazing. Me and Kourtney got to wave noodles while they performed, lol, they were their gifts from Apex. So that was tons of fun. Then A's were on and they were good... I loved Hillsborough's show soo much and it was amazing that they came in third after just moving up this year! I also loved Southern Regional's show, the electricity one. That one looked really fun, like Elizabeth Forward's. Then Windber and Norristown's were amazing, of course. We found out Windber boy's name, it's Josh, so we screamed that we loved him a lot, haha. When Norristown came out we were soo nervous for the beginning toss and it seems like everytime we scream for James he dropped it, so we put up our hoods and wore sunglasses to hide and we were like all holding hands hoping that he wouldn't drop it, and she didn't even hug him, haha. They took it out to be safe for finals. We kinda looked weird with all the stuff on, lol, it's like 'umm... yeah, that was a six... so what?' He didn't toss his last toss either, lol, loser. They did awesome, it was a really good show. Northern York's show was good but I didn't think it was that good to come in second... but the boy didn't count, so it's all good. Norristown ended up coming in SIXTH which was really weird, I think they so deserved higher. Windber came in fifth which is their highest ever so that's cool. Everyone else left because they didn't want to watch awards, and either did I really, but me and Gill had plans to stalk Josh, so we stayed, lol. Right before retreat we were talking to James and a guy comes over and hands him a card and James was like 'oh, thanks' and looks at it and it's a business card for Apex and his face got sooo big haha, it was amazing, here's Gill's re-enactment:
And Tara and someone else on their team got one from Blackwatch so that's awesome. After retreat we went back there to talk to them and stuff so that was fun, I'll miss them until next year! Then me and Gill went up to Josh and we were like omg, we love you! lol, he was so cute. He was like "I feel so honored! Dancing's what I want to do for the rest of my life!" complete with handmotions, haha. We got his screenname ;-D we're such pimps. So that was awesome. Yesterday we were planning on getting up way early, like at seven, and renting a surrey to ride on the boardwalk up to get old time photos and then ride them back and go on the beach, but we were all soo tired since we didn't go to sleep until like 4am... so we didn't =( On the way home all we did was listen to music to do for next year haha it was tons of fun. It's hopefully going to be picked by next Thursday so that will be fun. We're all going to live at Ashley's like last year, lol. I need to buy a rifle... I want a light one that all of these other guards use, because there's no way that little girl on SeaStars can throw more than me, lol.
