I wish so hard I was not in California now. He reminds me of my black cat Ardeth who disappeared some years ago. He was the sweetest most affectionate cat I have ever known and used to "nurse" on my earlobes. :(
He reminds me of my Baby-cat, though only in looks. She was only sweet to me.
I hope you find him a home. I would take him in a heartbeat, but there are rabies laws here that make it difficult. (And Brody will not let me have a cat.) Still, I'll spread the word through my grapevine--just in case.
If there are local cat rescues in your area, see if they might not necessarily take him in, but put up a "courtesy listing" on PetFinder for you. That way he will be visible to people on the Internet as an adoptable pet, even though he will be in your foster home until he finds a new one.
If you don't have any resources there, let me know; I am in touch with a philanthropist for our local biiiig dog & cat rescue (all over northeast Florida) and she might have some contacts she could get in touch with to find this cat a home. I'm not sure how much help we would be from Florida though.
Good luck... he looks like an adorable little cat. He really should get a great home. ;_;
If he doesn't find a home, I have to find another temp one.
He's already been listed online at petfinder and I've added him to every major shelter's list of lost-and-found cats in CT. I think I can find someplace by Sounday, though.
OMG, so cute!! I wish we could take in another kitty, but we're at about max capacity right now... :(
You might post something on the Alliance boards, if you haven't already. I know there are a bunch of people in your area who are cat lovers who *might* be interested...
