If it is not one war, then it is surely another. Sigh Though, I wonder how tactical it would be to take the ruler of a country and force them to fight in a war they are currently uninvolved in. I have never even heard of this place, though I am almost positive ‘Econtra’ is a guise of a name, given to hide the true identity of where this could

... You should take that up with my friend. He's more into the intel type of thing. All I've figured out on my own that everyone has in common is that we were in one place and then taken to another. Not very good at it, you see...

Thank you, you were more than helpful enough, as I know little to nothing about this place.

No one really knows much yet. All we know is the people keeping us here are still in the process of researching . . . whatever we're fighting.

They do not know their enemy as well...?

They do, they just want to be sure, I think.

I see...

And, according to the public records, we are in someplace called 'Chernobyl' though I know that is not a place in any of the Worlds I ever heard of.
What's Ivalice? And Nethicite? How is it manufactured? Who is Dr. Cid? And yes! The technology here is absolutely fascinating!

I have never heard of it either. We are on a world called Earth, correct?
Ivalice is my home world... Ah, I do not know much of nethicite, nor of how it is manufactured. Dr. Cid was the expert on such research. My knowledge of nethicite is that it is a sort of power source, or perhaps a weapon. Manufacted nethicite is a weak, man-made imitation of deifacted nethicite, which is rare...
However, all such research has been destroyed, along with the man who founded it.

I believe so. From what I've asked, the vast majority of Worlds call themselves something along the lines of Earth or Terra or Gaia.
Oh, it sounds rather interesting, that's too bad!
. . .
Why was the man who founded the research put to death?

I have met some confusion here already with that. Ivalice is the name of my world, yet for another I met, it is the name of a country. How disconcerting.
He wasn't put to death, but rather killed in an accident concerning it. Said accident led to the complete destruction of all remaining deifacted nethicite. It was agreed in a peace treaty, however, that the manufacted nethicite would also be destroyed so that no country would be able to use it in war.
Nethicite is powerful. It destroyed the capital city and much of the surrounding lands of the former country of Nabradia. It's destruction is better for the world.

The technology is impressive, yes. We have something like it back home but without the dimension and time spanning capabilities. We do have space travel of an impressive degree.
The war is still vague. Our enemy can apparently kill without touching the ground and has wiped out most of the planet.

I do not understand how they have managed to take people from other worlds.. My world does not have technology of that sort, nor do we have much by means of space travel. But if the intent was to seek help, and they are capable of such a feat, would it no doubt be wiser to send emissaries to these varying worlds asking for help, rather than to take others?

Ah, are you new here? Welcome then.

Yes, there are much better ways to enlist our aid. What is essentially kidnapping is not one of them. I am sure, that if asked, many of us would have been glad to help.

I worry more about what blames may be placed for my disappearance. I believe Gabranth will surely set them straight, however.
I am Larsa Ferrinas Solidor. And you are?
