though my kitty IS my life, i do admit i never even considered spaying her before, only because of TWO factors:
1 - i HATE all sorts of doctors and their knives
2 - i knew for sure she'd always be indoors and not breed

i know better now, and had i been this informed many years ago i would have spayed her no matter what, because it's not just about preventing breeding it's also about preventing ilness. Had i known this that far back and done the right thing, i would have avided her being sick and me so worried earlier this year

that's the only thing i think it's missing about the spay-the-female-kitty/dog info going around 8as far as i know...)

as for declawing - it's part of their job as a cat to ruin the carpets and sofas with their private manicure sessions.... don't deny them that right. Furniture is replaceable, kitty love isn't

I know - I myself did not know about how spaying/neutering can help prevent illness until dear little Moon got sick (incidentally, her adorable picture keeps popping up today in my screen saver - makes me so happy).

As for declawing - it just seems inhuman, doesn't it? What would I do without Guster to destroy furniture?!!

P.S. Could you send me some of your favorite Sarah B or K's choice stuff - not anything you've sent via the post or before, but if there's anything else you think I might want? I like to know songs before I go to concerts...

yeah i was close to desparation when i knew Moon was sick and that i could have prevented her, if only....
HA.... Moon destroyed my previous desk chair, that mom gave me a little over a year ago. So i had to buy a new one, a wooden one, so she wouldnt scratch it :D
OF COURSE i felt bad. So i HAD to keep the seat of the old one so she can scaratch away to her hearts content :D
She LOVES it..... be warned not to attempt and sit on that "semi-chair"

P.S. - audio or video? i should send you the video gig of hers from a couple months ago maybe. that would get ya right ready!
