But why do you have to take it less seriously by going for the crotch/salad tossing jokes? There have to be other ways you can take it less seriously that are the kind of "absurd" that don't leave you with a, pardon the pun, bad taste in your mouth.

I'd give examples, but my brain is not being creative today. The most creative thing I did today was caption a Miley Cyrus picture on ROFLRazzi.com.
