Leaving

I'm told that it is harder for the person being left, than the one doing the leaving.

The person leaving is going on to bigger and better things. The person being left has nothing.

But I'm not sure this is the case. The person doing the leaving has to actually, you know, do the leaving. Has to make the choice that whatever they are leaving for

actually the person leaving doesn't always go onto better things, having been left many a time I can speak to this

eight years later and I'm still adjusting to the distance, but it was much more bearable after the first many months. I imagine it would be far more difficult in the days prior to the internet and cell phones. I may not be nearly as connected, but the technology keeps it bearable.
