I refuse to pay more than 100 yen (+ taxes) for my manga, but as I can't just fly over and buy Book Off empty, I'm slowly running out of manga to read ... I still have enough for another year, but uhh ....

I know about the website you've mentioned here, but the volumes I need are way too expensive (and then plus shipping), so I'm still waiting for Japan to open up. ^^;

But I already got weak and ordered a few doujinshi at Mandarake last year. ^^; ......

Hi there, I apologize for commenting on such an old post, but I found this while looking for info on Suruga-ya.

I use a different proxy site for buying stuff in Japan but I'm considering to make a Suruga-ya account for possibly the option to track items when they return to stock. Is it possible to make an account without a Japanese address/phone if one isn't actually going to make purchases on the account?

Hi, slr! Apologies for the late reply. I have double checked suruga-ya. Unfortunately, you'll be needing a Japanese address in order to fully create the account. The information is needed as soon as you make the account. I hope this answers your question. :)

I've decided to make Tenso Japan account in this case. I dropped another proxy because they were unable to buy an item I wanted and it sold out on suruga-ya so I want to take my chance at making my own account there instead. Also 6 month storage time sounds REAL nice!
