Poetry Fishbowl Report for Tuesday, April 6, 2010

Apr 08, 2010 11:42

The April theme was "high fantasy."  There wasn't as much activity this time.  I worked from 11 AM to 10:15 PM, so about 9 hours and 15 minutes, allowing for breaks.  I wrote 12 poems, which is on the low side, but 3 of those were epics.  Most of the others were medium-short or medium-long, with one long and no short poems this month.  There were several form poems, including double-ballads, couplets, and haiku verses; plus some free-verse poems.  Most came from single prompts, though there were a few combinations.  I'm not surprised by the length and form spread here -- high fantasy runs to epics and rhymes.  A total of 10 people sent prompts.  There were 60 comments, including mine.

Buy Some Poetry!
If you plan to sponsor some poetry but haven't made up your mind yet, read the list of unsold poems, which includes the title, length, price, and the original thumbnail description for the poems still available.

All currently sponsored poems have been posted.  Unsold poems have been sent backchannel to their prompters.  The generally sponsored poetry poll is open for your votes.  I still need to write a donor perk-post.  The April donors include: ellenmillion, allykat, clarionj, minor_architect, marina_bonomi, janetmiles, and zianuray.  Welcome to new donor clarionj.  Woohoo!  You are all awesome.  Thanks to everyone for your support.
