This poem came from the September 7-8 Poetry Fishbowl.  It was inspired and sponsored by janetmiles.

Two Peas in a Pod

These twins are identical yet fraternal:
cracked from a single egg,
separated into sister and brother,
curled together in their warm technological womb.

They are like two peas in a pod,
their progenitor's pride and joy.
They are the same and yet unique,
perfectly united in their purpose --

to be nothing like the one who made them.
