Today's freebie poem is "Memories of Wind and Clay," inspired by je_reviens.

Memories of Wind and Clay
- a triolet

Words and language vanish in the wind.
Minds are grass and roots that cling to clay.
It’s memory that holds us, in the end.
Words and language vanish in the wind
When entropy’s jaws close and time’s teeth rend,
Leaving less than dust that blows away.
Words and language vanish in the wind.
Minds are grass and roots that cling to clay.
