an audience poll as one of the generally sponsored poems.
"the uncountable gods"
enlightenment is
without number, without form
without measurement
it kindles a spark --
out of the mind's emptiness,
a flame starts to burn
I am without shape,
devoid of expectation,
an uncarven stone
I am surrounded
by holy places, breathing
a wind of incense
what cannot be seen
cannot be counted or caught,
only admired
everywhere the gods,
like drops of water at sea,
follow their own tides
