This poem came out of the February 2, 2016 Poetry Fishbowl. It was inspired by prompts from
aldersprig and Anthony Barrette. It also fills the "candlelight" square in
my 1-23-16 card for the Valentine's Day Bingo fest. This poem has been sponsored by Anthony & Shirley Barrette. It belongs to the series
Walking the Beat.
Note: This poem consists entirely of hawt lesbian action. If that's not something you're into, you can skip it without missing any of the serial plot. They're married, everyone already knew they're having sex.
"Touch and Come"
For Dale and Kelly,
love begins with a touch.
It is walking the beat with
their fingers brushing together,
the way the world feels on
a very cold day when the wind
nips at their noses and ears
so that all they want is
to go home and snuggle.
It is a touch on the cheek,
a caress of wrist or shoulder,
a look stretching one moment longer.
It is the times when making the bed
turns into an impromptu pillow fight
and leaves them both sprawled over
the mattress, sweaty and panting.
Dale and Kelly like making love
to themselves and each other.
Dale lights candles that smell edible:
mellow vanilla, spicy cinnamon,
luscious milk chocolate.
Kelly turns on the mood music, and
the speaker connected to the headboard
makes the whole bed vibrate in time with it.
They take off their clothes for each other,
slowly, sensually, slipping sweaters off shoulders,
unfastening pants with the leisurely creep of zippers,
baring their feet and wiggling their naked toes.
Kelly lets down her hair, blonde tresses
tumbling free over her shoulders.
Dale slips off her bra and cups
her breasts in her hands.
Oh, it's so good.
Kelly tickles herself with her hair,
sliding it over her fair skin.
Dale rubs her fingers over
her own nipples until they stand up.
The candlelight shimmers with shadows,
revealing and concealing by turns
the pale limbs of the women.
They spread their legs,
gradually unfolding the secrets
that they keep between, and
touch their toes together,
holding feet like holding hands.
Kelly's hands trail down her body,
signing love-letters to herself
with every caress.
Dale watches her wife
giving herself pleasure,
and never tires of learning
what Kelly enjoys.
Kelly's orgasm comes
on a wave of loud moans
and barks that she cannot hear,
hidden noises that only Dale
gets to witness.
Dale surfs on the storm surge
of Kelly's arousal, pinches her clit
between brisk fingers because
she likes the firmer pressure,
shows Kelly what it takes
to squeeze out an orgasm.
Kelly comes again
watching Dale come,
sympathetic bliss
wringing them out
and leaving them
both draped over
each other, limp
and satisfied.

Lots of people wonder
how lesbians have sex ... well,
pretty much like anyone else. Here are some
tips for better lesbian sex. Most of them generalize to any context of making love to a woman.
Mutual masturbation is one way to
have sexual activity without having intercourse.
