"Bad Hair Day"
These all contributed to the free-verse poem "Bad Hair Day." Set shortly after Aidan meets Saraphina, it's about Lakia's challenges with hair care. Danso and Aidan help sort out some solutions.

A DW prompt inspired the free-verse poem "Between Carefree and Careless." Cassandra and Groundhog discuss gifts and community.

"Blood and Water"
Your "Blood and Water" prompt became the title of a free-verse poem about Turq and Ansel. Turq is finally ready to start talking about the other people trapped in the lab with him.

Several prompts combined to inspire the free-verse poem "Dinner at Donnie's" in which the family goes out to eat at Donnie's Diner. Which is basically my fantasy of what a fully accommodating restaurant would look like.

So the black capes hear
about the kooky volunteer who
wants them to do their civic duty
if a sick kid asks to meet them.

A DW prompt inspired the free-verse poem "Just Over the Horizon." Cassandra and Groundhog visit the community center in search of resources for her.

the storage space that Groundhog
had rented for her, and then she
unlocked her old city cruiser from
the outside rack for him to borrow.

A DW prompt inspired the free-verse poem "The Peter Pan Maneuver." Cassandra takes care of Groundhog and gets a flying lesson.

Several DW prompts inspired the free-verse poem "To Protect the Most Vulnerable." Mallory goes to a party at Maisie's house, which is totally different from the kind of party she's used to, and a little overwhelming.
