"A Dangerous Thing with Style"
A DW prompt inspired the free-verse poem "A Dangerous Thing with Style." Salvo has a surprise for Cuoio and Chiara, taking them out to the boardwalk.
155 lines, Buy It Now = $78
"I've made some plans for today,"
Salvo said to Cuoio and Chiara
over breakfast one morning.
Cuoio leaned back, surprised.
His bodyguard rarely took the lead
with such enthusiasm, but seemed
quite excited about this. "Do tell?"
"The Inner Transition"
Continuing along the Berettaflies line, I wrote the free-verse poem "The Inner Transition." Valor's Widow is surprised when Stylet comes to her and surrenders. He is not in great shape, either.
684 lines, Buy It Now = $342
[Available for posting after "The Whip of His Own Remorse" has been sponsored and published.]
Valor's Widow sat in the living room
of little lakeside cottage that she had
rented in Easy City, listening to the sound
of rain on boardwalk and wind in the rushes.
Balancing her tablet on her knee, she collated
today's notes on the berettaflies case.
"Pebbles in the Path"
"Pebbles in the Path" is a free-verse poem about Jules and Mariset getting a private lesson in rescue work.
270 lines, Buy It Now = $135
When Sandy and Danys pulled
into the driveway of Sandy's cottage,
the teenagers had already recovered
from their slump and bounced out
of the car like two tennis balls.
"The Quick Brown Fox"
A backchannel prompt from
my_partner_doug inspired the free-verse poem "The Quick Brown Fox." Not all therapy animals are formal ones.
41 lines, Buy It Now = $20
"Reveal to the Universe"
A DW prompt inspired the free-verse poem "Reveal to the Universe." Steel and Gladhammer want tool hands. Moderato throws a fit.
327 lines, Buy It Now = $164
Aquariana was working on the Bilimbi
when Steel abruptly thrust into her mind
and said, I need your help. Moderato
is not being rational about this.
"About what?" she asked,
straightening up to look
around the Malé harbor.
"To Appreciate Small Victories"
Your Shiv prompt inspired the free-verse poem "To Appreciate Small Victories." Dr. G brings a show soup to a group therapy session, and not everyone behaves.
537 lines, Buy It Now = $269
After Dr. G had completed
an art therapy session with Shiv,
he headed for the group therapy room.
Mr. Hatrack had already set up by the door
with his chair and table full of handouts
for the inmates. Today's batch covered
diversity, tolerance, and respect.
"A Tornado of Thought"
Your prompt about Calliope and Vagary inspired the free-verse poem "A Tornado of Thought." A therapy session is interrupted by the weather.
401 lines, Buy It Now = $201
Calliope had noticed a pattern
forming in their therapy sessions.
As soon as Mr. Gallagar asked
how things were going for them,
Vagary would launch himself into
an enthusiastic description of
the classes or support groups
he had been frequenting.
"The Willingness to Surrender Ideas"
Third in the Berettaflies triptych about Stylet's surrender is "The Willingness to Surrender Ideas." Valor's Widow takes Stylet to the police station for the first round of negotiation.
821 lines, Buy It Now = $411
[Available for posting after "The Whip of His Own Remorse" and "The Inner Transition" have been sponsored and published.]
In the morning, Valor's Widow
informed the New Orleans police
and SPOON that she had Stylet
in custody and would bring him
to the police department.
