so I'm not quite finished Twenty Years After yet. (Note: Dumas, you are terrible with titles, wtf?) I am loving 20Yrs. It's swashbuckley and bromancey and sassy in the best way possible! It made me regret refusing to read it for about 20 years (hah, irony) because I was outraged that the four of them would lose touch for twenty years! But then I caved and I'm loving it and super pumped that there's still a super long sequel after that.
But I thought it was going to be sadder. And then gentlezombie was like, 'uh...' And then I committed the golden crime of reading and skipped straight to the end of 10Yrs where everyone dies and no one is happy and there is no adorable happy ending, and FUCK YOU Dumas for unnecessarily breaking my heart!
I'm going to make it my mission to write a book with an alternate ending to the trilogy which will be read by exactly one person ever but will at least make me feel better. So there.
