[ At some point on Valentine's Day, Liquid will be accosted by a small robotic cupid(?!) with a propeller jutting out of its back. Hovering unsteadily, it tinnily informs him that he has a message from Yaha, and delivers the message recorded into its memory-- ]

This day is meant for you to mend as well, should you require with your heart aching as he is. Hold him close and chase away the fear. I have great faith and love for your care.

[ The message concludes with a shower of heart-shaped confetti over his head before the cupid zips away, off on the rest of its errands. ]

[Liquid himself sounds strained and on edge.]

[Francis tries to contact Liquid, and reaches his voicemail.] Ah, it seems you're not in. Call me when you get this, Liquid chéri, I haven't heard from you in a while. [A little smile.] You've been worrying me, you know.

[Before the feed shuts off, it's quite apparent that Francis has cat ears on top of his head, and a tail twitching back and forth behind him.]

[When Liquid calls back, he looks surprised. There are clouds floating just above his head but for the moment, it's calm.]

Francis? Why do you have a tail? [A pause.] Ah... sorry to worry you.

[The video clicks on.] Ah, this started happening on the 15th. [When everything else started going haywire.] I was a cat, up until last night, when I tried to change myself into a man again... and I have yet to figure out how to get rid of the ears or tail. Tails are quite inconvenient. I have been hearing many things with a higher clarity, though.

[Then he pauses, assessing the damage on Liquid.] ... what on Earth happened to you, chéri? [He doesn't know because he didn't watch the video feed, as per Liquid's instructions.]

...the 15th? [Guess who hasn't been checking the network for a few days.] That's when Kadaj- [And when he lost his healing power.]

Goddammit. If this is another Core trick... [The clouds above his head darken, giving off the sound of thunder.]
