Strange depression

Jul 24, 2008 13:47

After Twilight passed on the house has felt so empty. I have realized this odd sort of depression entering me. I have never lived in a house without a pet. I broke down yesterday after we put Quintin in bed, knowing that Lowell doesn't understand and feeling this emptiness just got to me. It was not an "oh my, Twilight is gone" breakdown, it was ( Read more... )

You should move back to Michigan. I mean, if you want a house, a CHEAP house, we have plenty of them! From Troy to Grosse Point and everywhere in between! Best deals you'll find this side of the Mississippi!

And about that job hunting thing...well, soon it's just going to be an every-man-for-himself free-for-all here. You can worry about the job situation later.

LOL, I love you Jim, you always make me smile. We want to stay way from MI, but we do miss our friends up there. Lowell's looking for a job that doesn't have to do with cars so that kinda takes MI jobs off the list anyway, lol.

I can sympathize with the no-pet depression. Buuuuut you do have lil' quin and he's still small enough to interpret as a house pet. So basically Lowell has until the little guy is forming sentences to make a decision on a pet.

Hehe, it's not the same. You've been around a lot of kids, you know that. But, Lowell has agreed to start looking because he is realizing how much it is effecting me and he does feel the emptiness too, just not as keenly as me. So I'm feeling a bit better.

It is really weird not having pets. I mean, it feels strange just when the parents take the pups for a walk around the block and I'm home completely alone. I can imagine it would be even more depressing to have no pets in the house all the time when you're used to having them around. Jeez, we grew up with so many pets and we're used to having a little companion and when they're gone it does make the house feel empty.

Hey, if you want to take Gracie, we'd be so cool with that. She's only mean if there are other cats in the house; otherwise she's pretty great. She's even great with Yoda and Leia! I'd just recommend a bath and a flea/tic treatment for her though.

I thought you guys might offer her, but we would like to start new with a kitten. Lowell has agreed to start looking because he is realizing how much it is effecting me and he does feel the emptiness too, just not as keenly as me. We are thinking about going to the Humane Society to look, they have a really cute black kitten there right now. I have to call to find out prices and such but it sounds like it might be the best way to go. I'll tell you more later! Love ya.
