[Anime Review] Episode 22: November 6-December 3

Mar 12, 2012 23:13

Synopsis
Priority is saving Nanako, but that's easier said than done. And, even if they can rescue her, how will being in the other world affect someone so young?

Art/Animation
• I really liked the design of Heaven, even if it was just a platform, instead of a dungeon.
• Kohryu looked really cool. I like this, since Kohryu is one of my favorite Persona.

Voices
• Teddie's voice sounds suddenly different in parts of the episode, but I think it was due to him sounding like he's crying.

Music
• Nothing this time.

Extras
• "Not a pushover" lol
• Ohai der, gas station attendant who hasn't been seen since episode 1.

Changes from the game
• Heaven was originally an actual dungeon, albeit one that could be cleared fairly easily.
• IIRC, in the game, Yu was the only one who couldn't be controlled.
• I loved the idea of Dojima being there to help Yu, and then him using the top Hierophant Persona, and then using Justice's top Persona with Nanako's encouragement.
• The Fog shows up heavy much earlier in the anime than in the game.
• The scene with Adachi at Aiya reminds me of the "figure out the culprit" scene from the game, but it's obviously not the same scene.
• I don't remember the Kotatsu/presents scene in the game, but I liked it.

Final Thoughts
Horrible spot to end the episode. With this timing... I'm not sure if they're gonna do the Namatame stuff or not. If they do, they probably will leave out the bad end options, since they already pulled that with Mitsuo instead.

Overall, not a bad episode, and the next episode has someone's Shadow in it, though it doesn't look like we're getting the last dungeon yet. It does look like we're getting the end of Teddie's S.Link, though.

One thing that's been bothering me for a bit... where's the Empress? Is it going to be Margaret, or Aika?
