Last week I made it sound like Rome was nothing more then a show about facial hair. Today I’d like to make up for it with a proper review:

Rome 2x05 - The Traveling Beard XD )

OMG, the scene with Agrippa and Octavia was absolutely cute!!!! Especially that in polish translation his declaration of love was: "ponieważ...ponieważ ja ją miłuję..." (awwwww, like a real knight;P. To be quite honest, I like "miłować" more than ordinary "to love sb/kochać":P). He`s amazing, Octavia is an ordinary drug addict, but he truly loves her xD````. I`m really surprised that such a righteous man has an extremely high opinion of woman, whom he saw taking drugs during an orgy xD````.

Say what you want, but older Octavian is puci-puci=3.

Brutus is going to be dead, nyahahahahahahahaaaaa:P!!!

They translated it like that? That is cute! You're right - "miłuje" is something a romantic gentleman does ;)
Do you think they'll bend history for those two and let them be married? *hopes so* I'm starting to suspect that they'll skip the Marc Antony/Octavia thing. If not - Octavian's a real sociopath :P

;_____;

So is everyone else! (eventually ^^;;)

And my man will give your boy a whipping before he goes down ;P

So do I. But the marriage of Marc Antony and Octavia was a serious, political thing, so I doubt if they will skip this. What`s more, I suppose that, according to the history, Octavian will give as wife his future daughter, Julia, to Agrippa. This serial is fuckingly historical. Do you remember the first episode of the first season and the situation when Atia tried to arrange a match between Pompeius and Octavia? It wasn`t a very significant thread, but, on the other hand, it was very historical. In the history, Caesar commanded Octavia to divorce her husband and marry Pompeius, but Pompeius reject her and married other woman. I only hope that Livia (a future wife of Octavian, she has poisoned him) won`t appear and won`t hurt my poor, poor Agrippa ;_;.
Octavia and Agrippa would be a PERFECT couple ;_;!!!!!

And my man will give your boy a whipping before he goes down ;P
Dear, the purpose of the battle is to remain life:P. Your man won`t, my boy will:P.

In spite of the fact that I like older Octavian more than younger one, it`s suspicious that he has matured so fast. I mean an appearance, not a character. He COULDN`T mature so much during ONE year (yeah, one year, because Caesar had died in 44 B.C. and this meeting between Octavian and bearded Antonius took place in 43 B.C.)!!!

Yeah, but it's not like they could make him mature gradually. He's supposed to be 20 now. Max Pirkis is only 17 and has a very boyish appearance. It would look funny if he didn't change at all. Especially with everyone else looking so much older. Did you notice how Atia, Marc Antony and Cicero changed? I'm wondering did they use characterization, or did the actors really age that much during two years...

He`s in my age, 19 years old;].

Atia- not really
Marc Antony- ignoring a beard, not really:P.
Cicero- yeah, I`ve noticed it. He has grown thin:(.

Details, details ;)

Atia did change. She gained a lot of weight. And maybe it's just because she's not so cheerful as before, but she does have bags under her eyes and some wrinkles... Not as attractive as she used to be...
comparison:
Atia 01x01
Atia 02x05 (objective screencap choice, no? XDDD)

Antony maybe not /that/ much, but James Purefoy has been growing wrinkles as a hobby...

And Cicero's grown hot not thin ;) Really, he looks so much better with the gray hair. I'm almost fangirling him now XD
