Maxilmillion Pegasus J Crawford was not known for frequenting this sort of lower middle class neighborhood. In fact, had anyone seen him slowly ambling along the darkened avenue in a pair of old jeans and a scratched up brown leather jacket, they would never have looked at him twice. Especially with the way his hands were shoved into his pockets and his head down, the delicate aristocratic lines of his face hidden beneath the shadowed brim of a grey green baseball cap that had definitely seen better days.
He wasn't wearing dark glasses this time. His silvery hair was held back in a low pony tail and his left eye clearly sporting a gray patch. It might not have been wise to reveal a disability, but his height and his sullen gait had most people he met steering clear of him.
His feet found the bar before he was even aware of it. His mind on so many other things that he had simply found the place on instinct, setting his heading by the familiar aura that resided inside. It was late already by the time he arrived, but it was a slow night. A weeknight so only a few regulars were manning the cracked vinyl of the bar stools. Pegasus took his usual place at the far end, more as a signal to anyone else there, especially the one working girl, that he wasn't looking for anything but a drink.
And by the gods did he need alcohol and now after the last few days he'd had! On one side he wanted to celebrate but couldn't risk telling anyone about Kaibas better than good news. And on the other side he had the sadness of little Leons death and the aftermath of dealing with it for all involved.
He remained waiting quietly, hoping he would at least get some service. He let out a quiet sigh since he was now aware that Jous wasn't looking at him with very favorable emotions. More work to do, even here.
