I am on my way to becoming an expert on ex-Yugoslavian literature, past and present (though in the present case we would have to further distinguish between Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin..etc.) It seems to be destined that I do this because EVERY SINGLE time I walk into a bookstore (the used ones are particularly hard to just look through ( Read more... )

you should read "knife" by vuk draskovic. i'm not sure if i am spelling that right and i cant do cyrillic on this computer, but yea.

Cyrillic would be Вук Драшковић. :D "Tito and the Rise and Fall of Yugoslavia" by Richard West is also good. And this summer I tried reading "Na Drini Ćuprija" (baš na našem, još ćirilica) and OMG it was so hard! I only managed to get to page 47.
