Summary: Something's fishy with Jongdae and Yixing, and Luhan's not taking no for an answer.

Minseok is already sitting at the kitchen table, munching on his usual bowl of cheerios, when Jongdae shuffles drowsily into the kitchen at approximately 7:00 AM, one palm rubbing at a sleepy, lidded eye. With a stifled yawn, he gives Minseok a bleary wave with a hand hidden in the sleeve of an oversized black sweatshirt, before folding himself into the chair across from the other and attempting to fall asleep on the placemat. “ ‘Morning.”

Minseok just gives an amused smile and shakes his head, putting another spoonful of cereal into his mouth. “ Good morning, Jongdae-ah.” The younger mumbles incoherently in response, burying his face into the crook of his elbow.

Luhan is the next to pop in, fully dressed for the day and practically beaming at the other two.

“Hey guys! Ready for-” He suddenly trails off as he notices something Minseok had failed to observe. “Wait, Jongdae...” he gets nothing more than a muffled grunt in reply. With a frown, Luhan pokes at Jongdae’s shoulder, forcing the other to uncurl from his cocoon and look him in the eye.

Jongdae focuses his sleepy expression on Luhan. “Wha...”

Luhan hoists Jongdae up by the shoulders, holding him at arms reach as he takes a good look at Jongdae’s sleep attire. “This,” he announces authoritatively, fixing the younger with a stern gaze, “is Yixing’s sweatshirt.” He jabs one finger at Jongdae’s chest, bringing attention to the faded print of a pair of headphones that takes up a majority of the front side of the hoodie.

Jongdae just blinks and raises his eyebrows. “I know that.” Extracting himself from the other’s grasp, he attempts to sidestep away towards the couch in the adjoining room, but Luhan manages to snag Jongdae’s sleeve, yanking him back into the kitchen. “Oi! Don’t try sneaking out on me!”

“But I’m sleepy.” Jongdae yawns in Luhan’s face and gives him a tired puppy look, his lower lip jutting out into a pout. “I didn’t get much sleep last night, gege...”

“Didn’t get much-” Luhan’s eyes get very wide as he takes in Jongdae’s disheveled appearance.

“You-”

“Did I miss something?” Luhan lets go of Jongdae with an audible squeak when he catches sight of Yixing standing in the entranceway, wearing just a tank top and sweatpants and looking rather lost. Minseok gives Yixing a cheerful wave with his cereal spoon. “‘Morning.”

“Jongdae’s wearing your sweatshirt,” Luhan states abruptly, motioning unnecessarily towards said article of clothing.

Yixing gives him a blank look. “I know.”

Luhan splutters brokenly, glancing uncertainly back and forth between the pair as Jongdae takes the opportunity to latch on to Yixing, using the other’s shoulder as a pillow. “Ge, I’m tired...” He mumbles against Yixing’s upper arm, his fingers curling around the fabric of his oversized sleeves. With a small grin, Yixing ruffles the smaller male’s hair, murmuring a quiet reply. “Then go back to bed, stupid.”

“M’not stupid,” Jongdae grumbles at the other’s shoulder, his pout returning at full force. Yixing simply chuckles and pats him on the head once more. “‘Course you’re not.”

“Excuse me,” Luhan interrupts, “would you two like to explain?”

Yixing slings one arm across Jongdae’s shoulders and cocks his head in Luhan’s direction. “Do we have to?” Jongdae squints distastefully at the kitchen light and nods in agreement. Luhan huffs at them in exasperation. “Yes.”

“Not really,” Minseok pipes up helpfully from his seat. Luhan narrows his eyes dangerously at the eldest, who innocently returns to his breakfast.

When Luhan turns back to scrutinize them, Yixing gives the elder a puzzled frown. “Jongdae said he was cold, so I gave him my sweatshirt. Is that really such a problem?” Jongdae nods vigorously in agreement from his hiding spot in Yixing’s arm, but Luhan seems rather unconvinced.

“And when did he tell you this, hm?”

“Uh, last night.”

“Last night?! What were you two doing together last night??”

“Having se-” Jongdae clamps his hands tightly over Yixing’s mouth to muffle his words and gives Luhan a terrifyingly bright smile, all traces of sleepiness suddenly disappearing. “Nothing. Not a thing.”

Luhan glances back and forth between Jongdae and Yixing, his mouth gaping. “But he just said-”

“You heard nothing-” Yixing finally manages to pull Jongdae’s hands off of his mouth and frowns at the younger man still wrapped around him. “But Jongdae, we really did have sex-”

Jongdae shrieks and wacks Yixing on the head, his cheeks burning with embarrassment. “You can’t just tell people that!!” Luhan lets out a triumphant shout and Yixing seems unfazed as Jongdae continues to attack him with his fists, humming and wrapping his arms around the smaller man’s waist instead. Jongdae gives up when Yixing begins to nuzzle at his neck, instead sighing and rubbing at his temples.

“What am I supposed to do with you, the whole dorm will probably know within minutes.” At this, he looks over at Luhan only to find the older man suddenly missing, the sound of his voice coming from the hallway to the bedrooms as he yells “GUYS WAKE UP JONGDAE AND YIXING ARE FUCKING” and similar exclamations.

Yixing seems completely unconcerned and Jongdae groans and hides his face in his hands. “Okay, so they’ll know within seconds.”

Minseok speaks up calmly from the table as he pours himself a second bowl of cheerios. “If it makes you feel any better, I already knew.”
