DISCLAIMER: I don't own D. Gray-man, UNFORTUNATELY all is into the hands of that crazy woman whose name is hoshino... Because if it was otherwise... D. Gray-man manga wouldn't have become a shapeless and disgusting jumble of nonsenses, and Lavi would have been together with Kanda from a VERY LONG TIME!

That's what I deny. There's NO other him, just some memories from a dead man Kanda doesn't even know. And memories can't have all this power on someone like him who trained himself to ignore them all over his life.
And, even if the memories could overwhelm him, there's NO her, but an HIM. So the reaction can't be of immediate joy and acceptance, not for Kanda, end even less for the dead exorcist, who surely was more religious than Kanda.

Beside this, thank you for appreciating this last chapter and for your help correcting issues.

NO, it's not brain transplant. In Japanese, implant and transplant are said the same way.
So it's an error of the English translator. I already explained why it can't be a full brain transplant. Nobody died before the idiot killed them, and without their brains instead they had to be all dead the very moment the exorcist's brain was transferred to the new subject.
They only had 5 donors so it's impossible to have all those test subjects, and transferring the full brain would left them without one. A body dies without a brain, and they were instead just sleeping.
So it's not brain transplant but just part of it, that is just cells.
