A Naruto/Flowers "crossover". Don't ask. Just one of my weird ideas.
Title: The Rose

Pairing/Characters: Hinata, Naruto, Neji, can be interpreted as one-sided NaruHina
Like the bud of a rose, Hinata remained hidden from the world; Untainted and innocent, but also weak, as she lacked the strength to blossom.
It was when she had seen Naruto for the first time that she had started to believe in herself - in the fact that one day, she would turn into a delicate, yet beautiful flower.
For Naruto was the sunflower, with its petals wide open to the sun, but unprotected from storms and rain as well. Still, Naruto was so pure and no matter what, the day after a thunderstorm, the sunflower would always shine in its brightest colors again. Hinata did not understand how but she knew that it was something she had to believe in.

Neji told her that fate was the only thing that mattered - the irrevocable judgment of God over every creature on earth that would become their inevitable destiny.
And as he said that, she had to think of Naruto and the sunflower and its petals; and she thought of Hinata and the rose and how she would never be able to fully open herself.
And for a short moment - just for a second - she actually believed in her cousin’s words.
