I will keep that in mind. But I feel like I'm running out of time and money *sighs* I wish I was younger lol. But better start somewhere than nowhere right? I'll just push my self even harder and hope that I can get at least some things into my slow stupid head. lol.
You're not old >>' And look how far you've come over the past few years, especially as an American doing what you're trying to do. Tough out the rough times and if you keep going, I'm optimistic that success will come, even if you have to hit rock bottom first.
I think you're in the best place for your field anyway. There's gonna be far more job opportunities doing voice work in Japan than in America, I'd assume.
Are you kidding? lol. I guess a year ago I would've said the same thing to myself. And though I am truly grateful for being able to participate this time. I seriously ran into some genius gaijins here. I know I need to stay strong and push myself, but oh, giving up sounds SO EASY.
But yes, I did have a of fun working with the pros (or more like just sitting in the corner and observing them LOL) mostly because everyone was so nice. It's an experience I'll NEVER forget. And yea, if I ever get a second chance at a job, I'll definitely feel less stressed and nervous... hopefully.
Oh? Are there more gaijins there than the 4 of us (me, you, jenya, german dude) I'm aware off doing this crazy thing too? Westerners or chinese/korean?
And yes, shadowing can be just as beneficial in itself as well as participating and luckily for your first job, the team was awesome, so consider yourself blessed :) The only way is up ;)
I thought so long to realize who "german dude" is XD
Yea... There are quite a few Chinese people (and/or those who can speak Chinese really well), there's a korean guy at 81 Actor's Studio right now (and there's like a half in the 研究部 I believe). And if I recall correctly, there were 2 caucasians at Yoani last year (different campus). I only know that the guy from Akiba campus is half (raised in Japan I think), don't know about the other girl though.
*sighs* So many rivals! So little talent! My brain works too slow! Why am I so stupid?! lol. But nonetheless I can only look up now. NO TURNING BACK! HAH!
