Mura was once again at her part time job, the winds of change were blowing, and she felt something ominous was in the air. The question Amanda Evers, now Sawada, asked still lurked within the young fortune teller’s mind. She asked about the gangs and their conflict, yet this war lord had no answer for the young blond foreigner ( Read more... )

Wakashi was supposed to be hurrying, his father wanted him to meet up at their place at 4:00 to discuss his new job. Never one to deny orders he canceled all plans and stayed on the closer side of town.

He was looking for something to pass his time before he was forced to look at the rest of his life. That was when he passed the fortune shop. He looked at the sign smirked a bit and tried to keep on walking.

He was a total skeptic when it came to this stuff but he stopped and turned around to stare at the little shop. 'I wonder what they would say?'

The thought flickered in his mind and he found himself approaching the door. Waka was uses to the idea of his future job, the idea had been brainwashed into him as a child but still he was curious to know if it was..right.

At the door he pushed it open and winced at the bell. He felt it as mockery that a hypocrite was walking in and looked around. He eyed a girl around his age with long black hair. "Hello." he called out.

Mura's eyes met Wakashi, then she force her eyes down and away a moment.

/another one./ She watched him carefully, almost like a jaguar would its prey. "Good afternoon." Mura said softly, her voice smooth and crisp. "Come to see your fortune with the spirits young man?" The card reader was careful of her words, calling him a man, instead of a boy.

"That would be quite lovely Miss." Wakashi took off his long wool coat and drapped it over his arm and giving a bow. "I am, you could say, curious, I never done something like this before."

"hmm a virgin?" Mura purred almost, " how interesting," Her lips curled into a cat like smile.

"very well, but I must ask for a payment, should you fail to pay...your balance of life maybe compromised."

Wakashi watched mesmerized by what he say. This lady was a true Japanese beauty. Her long black hair and ever so pale skin every angle in her face had his attention. Not like Rinji who strived to look modern and more western. Not that Wakashi would pursue the girl he wouldn't think he was worthy of a beauty. He waited patiently and watched closely hoping this would break his skepticism.

Mura's long slender fingers slowly cut the deck, then placed several cards down in an unusual pattern. It took some time before Mura opened her eyes, red lips parted slightly. "you have a twisted future," She stated slowly, "clouded, and fog, the strings of fate that bind you to your duties are hidden with a deep unyielding darkness."

/like several others I know of/

"I seek nothing of your darkness, it will be a threat to myself should this come back," Slowly she held up her hand with the ring, "as per your payment, no harm will befall me or my family for the words I will deliver upon you."

Wakashi sat and looked at the cards on the table waiting for Yukimura to finish. "Isn't all of mankind's future twisted in some dark way. I believe we are all nothing but sins to begin with."

Her lips parted then slowly she began the reading of the cards, as she spoke the cards were flipped over without a pause. Mura’s voice was distant, detached, and slightly unsettling. It was like, someone else or something else, was talking through her ( ... )

Wakashi turned his attention back on Yukimura. "That would be lovely Ms. Kusanagi, I can never pass up a cup of tea. I have to leave before three though." he glanced at his watch just to be sure.

Mura let out a small chuckle at that, "are you sure I didn't know that before hand? mmm?" The fellow student did the same, "it is just half past 12, I will go ready the tea, Jasmine oolong?"

"That sounds nice." Wakashi smiled. "So are you saying you are real and not someone working in a shop like this telling tales just for money?" he asked curious.

Mura was making the tea, when it was finished she brought it over to the small reading table. She paused before cleaning up the cards.

"I am real, unless you would like to argue and debate the validity of your reading? but the point of this place is to help, guide those who are falling off the path, and direct them." She poured the tea in prefect technique. "and the reason I am here is to learn more, I feel there is so much in the world we don't understand and so much I can learn about it." The girl sat smiling at Wakashi sipping her tea.

"do you like seeking knowledge, and questioning the world? or are you the type that accepted things as they come without question?"
