Anyone have a good way to fall asleep?

I've been falling asleep around 4-6am and waking up around 11-3pm (w00t for sleeping), but I desperately need to shift that forward about 5 hours. Reading doesn't help because that won't kick in until 4am.

saw yer post on the most recent LJ posts list... I've been having the same problem. I've found that eating something small (I've done a banana the past couple of nights) tends to make me fall asleep when i've otherwise been unable to. When it gets real drastic, a dose of niquil tends to knock me right out, though that may be a personal reaction to alcohol of mine.

Hmm..I'll try the food one. I tend to get hungry sometimes at night but I figure I shouldn't eat that late, but it gets me to fall asleep... :)

Thanks!

Try listening to music? Or...if you can fall asleep in front of a TV, put it on channel 8. Late at night, they have these old people that give educational powerpoint presentations. Those usually put me to sleep...unless Pippin finds them interesting...

OR...

Go read through some old notes from Sager's class. Ol' US History ought to do the trick. ;)

Music used to work until I started listening to the music itself. OH, those powerpoints drive me INSANE. I'm not sure what's more boring--that or Lewis + Sager. That'll probably work well then. :P As for notes, THAT must be why I kept them. I shall give them a shot, but it's not the same with Sager's voice droning on.

a glass of wine does the trick. also, sudafed, a cold medicine, really knocks you out. but you probably shouldn't do those two that much.
i need a solution too. i'm always late to work ;___;

Wine makes my stomach turn over. -__- Don't have any cold medicines. I'm really hoping for a natural or herbal remedy; I'm not fond of chemicals. Thanks for the suggestions though. If I get desperate, I'm taking a glass of my parents' red wine and seeing maybe it just takes some getting used to. O:)
