Fandom: When Women Were Warriors - Catherine M. Wilson

Comments: It's F/F fantasy set in a world both men and women are warriors, but the male warriors are mostly offstage and the focus is on the women's warrior society. The main character is a young woman named Tamras, essentially a page, who is assigned by their liege lady to serve the mysterious foreign-born warrior Maara. An anonymous poster's description of the book: "Femslash, a matriarchal world, loyalty kink galore, warriors and warrior lore, and lashings of hurt/comfort"!
It's a trilogy, and the author has made the first book available for free in multiple formats.
