It's a strange one for me because I find the play quite irritating and pretentious (although I've only read it, never seen it performed, so I expect that would make a difference), and I really dislike this obsession with Lewis Carroll and Alice having some creepy romantic relationship, but the SONGS omg. The songs are so beautiful and he's never ever sounded better. I'm not going to request anything to do with the real people or even the fictional play versions of them, that's why I nominated the album and not the play or RPF. I would just love some kind of story, anything at all, that keeps the same mood and poetic/creepy/tragic brilliance of the songs.
