Comments: The Penhallow clan has gathered for Alice's wedding, but Alice doesn't matter. What matters is that Mrs. George Penhallow asks Romney if his cousin Lucinda doesn't look beautiful today.
"Far be it from me to disagree with the opinion of a lady-- especially when it concerns another lady," he said, as he left the blue room.
Lucinda and Romney had a quarrel 15 years ago, and he said he would never speak to her first. But despite not having spoken in 15 years, both consider themselves engaged.
What happens next is in the title. It's great. And short!
